Claire Wilson |
Claire went to her first yoga class in 2004 while pregnant with her first child. The prenatal yoga classes were a beautiful way to experience all the changes that were going on in her body, and to build a deep connection with her daughter as she grew. From that moment on Claire was hooked and yoga has been an important part of her life ever since.
Claire is continually amazed at how a regular practice can have such an impact on all aspects of her life. Yoga helps still an over active mind, gives strength, brings calm to a busy life, and helps keep her and the family grounded as her husband’s job moves them all over the world. After being introduced to Ashtanga yoga by a great friend and teacher, Claire decided that teaching yoga was a path she would like to follow. In 2010/11, she studied for and received her 200 Hour certification in Aberdeen, Scotland, and has been teaching ever since. Claire has studied with some of the West’s great Ashtanga teachers: David Swenson, Michael Gannon, David Keil and Kino MacGregor. All of whom have greatly influenced her teaching style and inspired a deep love and respect for the traditions and practice of yoga.
Nancy has been in love with yoga since she took her first class through a community program in 1981. After many years of intermittent yoga classes, home study and raising a family she knew it was time to explore this practice in depth. She graduated from the TRY4LIFE 200 hour teacher training program in 2006. Her continuing education led her to study with Gary Kraftsow, Erich Schiffmann, Anna Forrest, Amrit Desai, Todd Norian and Rodney Yee, allowing her to explore many yoga styles. She taught at various venues and loved being a substitute teacher wherever she was needed. She found her niche delving deeply into the philosophy and spiritual aspect of yoga while teaching the bereaved at Hospice of the Western Reserve. Then it all suddenly stopped in April of 2009 when she suffered a severe back injury while riding her horse. Today her practice is strong and she is riding again. She truly believes she was able to avoid invasive medical treatment mainly due to her yoga practice and the keen physical awareness she developed because of it. “We have the power to heal ourselves and the practice of yoga, in all its aspects, is a perfect tool in teaching us how.”

Beth Giorgi | Beth@BlueSkyYogaOhio.com
Beth Giorgi was born and raised in Mentor, Ohio and has grown deep roots here. Beth has diversified and defined her life through fitness. She started exercising at a young age and, thrilled with the results, resolved to make it an experience she could share with others. In 1992, the realization of her passion blossomed into a career as a fitness instructor. Many shades of fitness invited her attention and through the years Beth became certified to teach a variety of skills, some of which include weight training, kickboxing, step, hilo, and interval group fitness classes. She conveyed her love of fitness to others by teaching community classes. Over the years fitness naturally peaked her interest in the human body, so it was no surprise when she earned her personal training certification. She realized great satisfaction in helping others achieve their fitness goals while making positive lifestyle changes. Change is a part of everything and Beth’s experiences were no exception. With the birth of her two children life seemed to be moving at a pace which seemed to exceed her own. Softly; however, her mind began to desire another road; a road that would not only benefit her, but her family as well. Something was missing in the rush of life and her silent search was on. Her desire had a name and it was the “Mind-Body Connection.” The phrase “healthy mind healthy body” took on new meaning. As always, this was an experience she wanted to share with others. As a Certified Personal Trainer in 2006, Beth went on to complete the 200 hour OM Yoga training program. Beth has broadened her awareness of yoga by taking workshops with Bryan Kest, Todd Norian, Simon Park, Elise Miller, local teachers from Cleveland Yoga and Evolution Yoga, and her OM teacher, Joe Miller. Beth has teaching experience with diversified groups of people. Beth has instructed at a variety of clubs and institutions including Harmony Studios, Evolution Yoga, Progressive Insurance Company, Lubrizol Corporation, Heisley Racquet and Fitness Club and Shambala Yoga Studio & Wellness Center among others. Beth has been training in the Active Isolated Training Technique since March 1999. Beth is certified by Stretch To Win as a level1 Fascial Therapist. She is certified in TRX. Her most recent training is in Level 1 IREST Training. Beth’s hope is to teach people to become stronger, have love and comfort of self, enjoy the present moment, and live more fully.”

Donna Ralston | DonnaR@BlueSkyYogaOhio.com
I received my first Rieki Treatment in 1997 which would change my life forever! In 2008 I had the opportunity through Reiki Rays of Hope and the Alzheimer’s Foundation to take Reiki 1. This course was offered to caregivers and their families to bring relief to loved ones suffering from Alzheimer’s, a disease my Father suffered from. The Reiki treatments were comforting to both of us. For my Dad it brought a sense of quiet, calm and peace, I too received peace in helping bring him the comfort and dignity he deserved. I continued my education through Lakeland Community College becoming a Reiki Master in the fall of 2009. Since then I have had the joyous privilege of growing my practice and offering healing services to many people. I am delighted and honored to become part of Blue Sky Yoga and Healing Arts.
